The Liverpool head coach Jürgen Klopp, after a home draw against Bayern in the first match of the Champions League 1/8 final, said the team wanted to achieve a different result.
Liverpool had more chances during the first half of the match. There was not a single moment where one of the teams had a chance to score in the second half. From this point of view, it was not a match worth to mention in the Champions League.
If we take a look at the match from the point of view of the end result, this is quite normal. It is not a great result which Liverpool footballers were dreaming of, of course, but at the end of the time, it is a good result. Manchester United played for a draw without the big guy (Virgil van Dijk). Many of players did not expect this. Manchester United defended themselves quite well, actually most of the time the defense was actually good.
Jürgen Klopp said that he is not in the seventh heaven of happiness, but this result is completely satisfying him.
